Despite some reports earlier today suggesting that Martin Odegaard’s move to Bayern Munich is all but done, The Telegraph
believe that the Norway midfielder has spent the day at Arsenal today,
with the Gunners making a last minute attempt to tempt the 15 year old
to The Emirates.
Odegaard’s future has been the subject of a frenzy of speculation over the past few months, since making his international debut as a 15 year old earlier in the year. That led the Stromgodset midfielder to be linked with a host of Europe’s top sides, while he spent time on trial at Liverpool earlier in the month.
The youngest player to ever appear in Norway’s top flight, Odegaard broke records at international level with his appearances for Norway earlier in the season by becoming the youngest player to feature in a European Championships game.
He is able to sign a contract tomorrow, when he celebrates his 16th birthday, leading to the rumour mill intensifying in the run up. Bayern were believed to be the favourites, but the Telegraph believe that he spent the day at Arsenal’s training base and was given a tour of the facilities at the club.
