Tottenham are in decent form of late and face a Chelsea side looking to bounce back from a disappointing draw against Southampton, and remain at least three points clear at the top of thePremier League.
To be played on Thursday 1st January 2015 at 17:30. Venue: White Hart Lane, London
Odds: Tottenham 21/5, Draw 14/5, Chelsea 4/5
Chelsea will be looking to start 2015 much like they finished the last as they go in search of the Premier League title. They face a tough test at White Hart Lane against a side that is playing with more and more confidence.
Both sides have made their fair share of changes over the festive period. Erik Lamela could be welcomed back into the starting line-up for the home side after being rested for the majority of the draw with Manchester United, along with right-back Kyle Walker.
Oscar could return for Chelsea after missing out against Southampton, it will be interesting to see if John Obi Mikel keeps his place in the side. With Manchester City at home to start 2015, Jose Mourinho will be looking for his side to take all three points at White Hart Lane to keep a three point cushion established at the top of the table.
Having played each other only a month earlier, they will be wary of the threat each other possesses. Though Chelsea ran out 3-0 winners at Stamford Bridge, Spurs carried a significant threat.
“This is Chelsea's style. They want to give you confidence with the ball and then with the smallest mistake they punish you.”
Hugo Lloris
