Gareth Bale was booed by Real Madrid fans for failing to provide a pass to Cristiano Ronaldo to score - but responded by scoring a brilliant free-kick in his team's 3-0 win against Espanyol today.
The Welshman's future has been the subject of some intense speculation in recent weeks, with Manchester United said to be keen on taking him back to the Premier League in a massive £90 million deal.
Win
Madrid picked up their first win of 2015 having lost to both Valencia and Atletico Madrid since the turn of the year, but it wasn't all smiles at the Bernabeu. According to the Daily Mail, some Real Madrid fans let their frustration get the better of them when Bale opted to shoot rather than pass to Ronaldo in the second half.
The paper says that some were shouting 'f***' at the former Tottenham forward while others were jeering as his shot flew wide.
Unrest Manchester United will be hoping that the few signs of unrest in Spain may tempt Bale to return to England, although he recently insisted he had no plans to move to Old Trafford
