Real Madrid are looking to sign Manchester United star David de Gea and will smash the current goalkeeper transfer record in order to do so, Express reports.
David de Gea has been in remarkable form for Man United of late, with pundits already running out of superlatives for the Spain international.

And according to sources from Spain, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti is
keen to sign the 24-year-old to replace veteran goalkeeper Iker
Casillas, who is set to depart in the near future.De Gea dethroned Casillas as Spain’s number one and Ancelotti has high hopes the Man United shot-stopper can have the same legendary career as Casillas at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It has been suggested that if Real were to make an offer, it would smash the previous transfer record of £33million, currently held by celebrated Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
With De Gea’s contract set to expire in 2016, the Red Devils hierarchy will look to extend his current deal in order to avoid losing him on a pre-contract agreement a year from now
