Man Utd hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set for Cardiff AXE after four-game winless run

CARDIFF boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is facing a fight to hang on to his job.

Solskjaer is under huge pressure at Cardiff
Cardiff owner Vincent Tan is ready to swing the axe with his patience at breaking point.

Could Solskjaer have managed Cardiff for the last time?Tan is understood to have even told some members of Cardiff's staff that Solskjaer's time would be up if they lost to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.
The Bluebirds lost 1-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium to leave the Norwegian on the brink.
And the home fans piled on the misery by jeering Solskjaer and his side off at full time.
The defeat was Cardiff's third in the last four games. They have picked up just one point during the four-game winless run.
Cardiff were expected to mount a bid for promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt after being relegated under Solskjaer last season.

But they have won just twice in the league so far and are languishing in 17th.
Solskjaer is due to hold talks with Tan in the next few days and admitted he was feeling the heat after the Boro defeat.
He said: "If you don't get results of course you are under pressure.
"We didn't expect to be sitting where we are after seven games.
"We knew there were some tough fixtures in there but we expected more of a return than one point from four games.
"I won't sleep a lot after this because the performances and where we are in the league hasn't been good enough.
“But I am an optimist and I may have to change things around.”
