It's not even one of the lesser lights in the Premier League looking to snap up the 33-year-old on a free transfer.

And it is not even a club in the Football League who want Ronaldinho.

The English team in for the Brazilian are none other than BASINGSTOKE TOWN, of the Conference South.

Simon Hood, Basingstoke Town's marketing director, said: "Discussions have been had, and there is an offer on the table. Now it is up to Ronaldinho to decide whether he wants to take us up on it.
