Arsenal and Chelsea to go head-to-head for Andre Silva
Portuguese starlet Andre Silva is a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, according to reports.
Rival managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are set to face-off once again – this time in a battle to sign the 18-year-old Porto B striker.
Silva is out of contract at the end of the season and has reportedly set his sights on a move to the Premier League.
Arsenal are currently leading the race to sign him, but Chelsea have also registered their interest, claims the Sunday People.
Although Wenger has pursued the situation further than his Chelsea counterpart at present, Mourinho’s Portuguese and, more importantly, Porto connections could yet prove decisive.
The Portugal Under-19 star was the second top scorer at that age group’s European Championship in the summer.
He scored five goals to catch the eye of scouts from across Europe.
