Everton deny Man Utd bid for Seamus Coleman
Roberto Martinez insists none of his key players are leaving Everton this month, despite rumours surrounding a number of his big-name stars.
Manchester United were rumoured to be lining up a bid for Seamus Coleman, with manager Louis van Gaal unconvinced by his current right-back Rafael.
Striker Samuel Eto'o was also reportedly on the move, with a number of European websites suggesting the Cameroonian was in Italy discussing a transfer to Italian side Sampdoria.
Both moves though were quickly rebuked by Martinez in his press conference prior to Tuesday's FA Cup replay at West Ham.
When asked about Eto'o in particular, Martinez said:
I know there has been a lot of speculation but we have had no contact and no conversations about that issue.
"At the moment Samuel is working really well. He is always a strong influence in the day-to-day work of the club and there is nothing to comment on there.
"We are not going to sell our big assets during the January transfer window. I think all those stories, all the admiration from the outside if you like, it is a waste of time really."
