Predicted Manchester United XI to Face QPR

Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways after their surprise defeat at home to Southampton last weekend.
Queens Park Rangers are winless in their last five games in all competitions but are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games at Loftus Road, drawing the last two.
Louis van Gaal has most of his team back for this one, but Robin van Persie, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo all look set to miss out.

Here’s how we think Manchester United will lineup at Loftus Road:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea
Facing competition from Víctor Valdés these days, David de Gea will continue in goal for this game. We expect Valdés to get his Manchester United debut next weekend at Cambridge United in the FA Cup though.

Defence: Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind
This is the same back three that started last weekend and seemingly Louis van Gaal’s favourite choice whilst Marcos Rojo is out injured. Daley Blind is left-footed to start on the furthermost left, ahead of Tyler Blackett. Jonny Evans has been poor this season and we expect him to miss out once again.

Midfield: Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Juan Mata, Luke Shaw
With Rafael a doubt we think Antonio Valencia starts as the right wingback again. With Clint Hill likely to play left-back for the home side the Ecuadorian can be expected to have a solid game. Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata should control possession and dictate the play in the centre of the pitch. Luke Shaw to start as left wingback.

Strikers: Radamel Falcao, Ángel Di María
Robin van Persie picked up an ankle injury and as Radamel Falcao was rested he should be fresh to start this one. His movement into space and eye for goal gives him a great opportunity to score against the worst defence in the Premier League. The slow Richard Dunne partners Steven Caulker. Ángel Di María is likely to be lined up somewhere around Falcao in a more advanced role to cause the QPR defence all sorts of problems. Right-back Mauricio Isla hasn’t been the best of defenders this season.

Here’s how that looks on paper:

Manchester United fans – do you think Louis van Gaal will make any changes to this lineup?
