With the weekend now behind us, Manchester United are now looking ahead to this weekend’s tie against Aston Villa.
After fantastic results at home to Tottenham Hotspur and away to Liverpool at Anfield, United have worked themselves into an excellent position in the Premier League table going into the Villa game.
Louis van Gaal was expected to tinker with his team at Anfield because of how tough the occasion was on paper but the Dutchman stuck with the same side who demolished Spurs, so there’s every chance he’ll do the same thing against Villa. After all, if it isn’t broken why fix it?
That means there is no spot once again in the starting XI for Angel di Maria and a starring role forJuan Mata who has been superb in the last two games.
Van Gaal will be desperate for his side to keep their momentum going into the City game and as good as a win away at Liverpool was, it would be wasted if United can’t pick up three points against Villa.
