Oscar: Forget Fellaini, Manchester United have other threats

Chelsea midfielder Oscar feels that the Blues should not worry too much about Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini, as Louis van Gaal’s side have a number of different threats at their disposal, as reported by Goal.

The Brazilian midfielder has been an instrumental part of Jose Mourinho’s incredibly successful side this season; a side that have lost just twice in the Premier League and already lifted the Capital One Cup.

Chelsea currently sit seven points clear of second-placed Arsenal at the table’s summit with a game in hand, and United will see Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge as a last throw of the dice in terms of toppling the West London outfit.

Gary Neville: Fellaini NEEDS “special attention”

23-year-old Oscar has six goals in the league this season

Both sides go into Saturday’s match in excellent form; Chelsea have not lost since their 5-3 humiliation by a Harry Kane inspired Tottenham on New Year’s Day, while the Red Devils have won their last six top-flight outings.

And despite Fellaini causing the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City all sorts of problems in recent weeks, the Blues’ number 10 believes his side should focus on United as a whole unit.

He said: “It’s not only Fellaini but Mata as well. Herrera, Blind, Rooney, Ashley Young, so many players. They certainly improved their performances at this point of the season and we must be careful with all of them. But they must be careful with us as well so big derbies like this one are always great matches.”

Fellaini dominated City in the air

Fellaini has now scored five Premier League goals this season, and was excellent in United’s most recent victory over City, where he won 75% of hisheaders.

Marouane Fellaini has created 13 chances this term.
