Sprinter Usain Bolt has claimed that he played a part in Mario Balotelli 's decision to return to England.
The former Manchester City striker left AC Milan for Liverpool just before the close of this summer's transfer window, admitting that he felt he had made a mistake ever leaving the Premier League Bolt, who is one of Manchester United's most famous fans, has now revealed that he influenced Balotelli's thinking. "We were speaking the other day and I told him that England is the best place to play football," the world's fastest man told ESPN . "For me, as long as he makes a couple of errors when he plays against United, everyone will be happy!"
Meanwhile, Bolt believes that United's new boss, Louis van Gaal, deserves time to turn the Old Trafford outfit around, after a poor start to the 2014-15 season.
"It will be difficult for the team to adopt to the new system but with time everything will get better," the Jamaican insisted.
"Manchester United must get back among the top four. Although they won't win the league, they must return to the Champions League.
"Then, next season we will be good enough to go for the title."
