Real Madrid keen on Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva

According to Marca, he has a lot of options to become a Real Madrid player next summer in order to replace Sami Khedira.

Remember to take this with a grain of salt, just as you'd do with any given transfer report published in October. According to Marca, Real Madrid are really interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva to replace Sami Khedira next summer. Khedira will almost surely leave the Spanish capital and that would mean that Ancelotti and his coaching staff need a box-to-box midfielder. Silva plays for Cruzeiro, and los blancos would apparently be willing to spend €15 Million on this Brazilian midfielder.

It would be a strange move by Real Madrid, as yet another Brazilian midfielder is excelling at FC Porto. Casemiro is still a Real Madrid player and he is developing well. Furthermore, there are far better options available than a 21-year-old midfielder playing in Brazil. According to this report by Marca, Real Madrid almost signed Silva this past summer.

Unless the club's scouts are sure of Silva's potential, this would be a risky move that would leave many Real Madrid fans unhappy after believing FC Barcelona were the only club signing random Brazilian players -- aka Douglas
